Coffee House and Silent Auction

The Occasional Coffee House and Silent Art & Service Auction is a major church fundraiser that has been held most years since 1989 for two consecutive evenings. These evenings are filled with music performed by local artists, many who are members or friends of the church. The Great Room is transformed into a 1960’s coffee house along with the bar area that serves many great drinks with the specialty being Unitarian Coffee. The Board Room is transformed into a Café Deluxe with soup, sandwiches and desserts served. A Silent Art and Service Auction are held in conjunction with the coffee house. Opportunities for volunteering range from production to performance, food and beverage preparation, to serving and set up, to clean up as well a providing items for the auction.   Hersong, Quad Cities Women’s Chorus, joins this effort providing many helping hands in the success of this event.

The 2010 event was held on March 5-6.  A full two nights of musical entertainment were scheduled, plus many items were available for the silent auction.
