Connection Circles
Come Into the Circle
Come into the circle of love and justice.
Come into the community of mercy,
holiness, and health.
Come and you shall know peace and joy.
Adapted from Israel Zangwill
One of
the most personal ways to connect with others is to join one of our Connection
Circles. Connection Circles are groups of approximately 12 individuals, led by
a trained facilitator, who meet on a regular basis for a series of discussions.
Groups will meet for a preset number of session extending over a specific period
of time. Usually 8-16 sessions running somewhere from 8 weeks to 8 months.
While most groups are general conversation topics, some, such as “Committed
Couples” are geared for a particular audience with specific topics.
Participation does not require anything more than attendance. No prior
background information is needed, nor is any study involved. All members are
asked to commit to attend all sessions and adhere to a group covenant of
behavior.
This
fall our Connection Circle program will be launching three new groups. Our New
to UU group will be meeting on Thursdays from 7-8:30 beginning Sept. 20th.
Starting Oct. 3rd from 7-8:30 and continuing each first and third Wednesday will
be our Committed Couples group. For those looking for general conversation
topics and a chance to meet new people from any walk of life, we have a
Conversations group meeting on Mondays from 7-8:30 beginning Sept. 17. For more
information, or to sign up, please contact Laurie Bertsche at 359-0816 or
